The holding company RUSSIAN FISH COMPANY JSC launches its own retail network of a new format

Moscow. April 8. JSC “Russian Fish Company” (the “Company” or “RRK”), the largest Russian distributor of chilled and frozen fish and seafood, announces the opening of its own retail chain in a new format. The Company plans to become one of the leading players in the specialized chilled and frozen fish and seafood retail trade in Russia.

Russian Fish Company JSC (RRK), one of the leaders in the Russian chilled and fresh-frozen fish and seafood distribution market, is establishing a retail division and launching a chain of its own stores of a new format – “NAHODKA“. At the pilot stage for nine months will open 12 stores in Moscow, as well as a distribution center in Podolsk. At the first stage the company plans to gradually increase the sales of fish and semi-finished fish products, as well as seafood and caviar. The company plans to launch four store formats: shop in shop (15-20m2), corner (40-50m2), mini-markets (100-130m2) and convenience stores (about 200m2).

Together with the pilot launch of retail chain “Russian Fish Company” JSC plans to actively develop the e-commerce segment. At the pilot stage, orders will be delivered in partnership with courier services, and within a year after the launch of the pilot project will be launched and its own online application with the possibility of delivery to the door or collection in the store, followed by self-collection (click and collect).

Depending on the format of the store assortment matrix will contain from 200 to 2500 product positions, 80% of which – fish, seafood and products from them. More than 60% of products presented in the network will be domestic production, special attention is paid to fish and seafood from Murmansk and the Far East.

One of the differences between “Nakhodka” and simple stores will be the presence of a cafe area. One of the main goals of our project is not only to sell fish products but to explain the culture of its consumption, that is why every store will have trained specialists, who can tell you a lot of useful information about fish: from the catching zone, differences in species and tastes, to the cooking methods.
